Since 2013, Liang Chen has progressively advanced his research and self-analysis of long-term, multi-period observation of his hometown, Liaoning Dandong, as the starting point and source of his creation. Based on his rich local cultural research and architectural practice in Dandong, Ergun, Xinjiang and other places in recent years, Liang Chen has also launched the "Boundary Plan" based on interdisciplinary research including art, architecture, anthropology, etc. Focusing on the frontier areas of knowledge generation and exchange, he tries to gain a cross-disciplinary perspective on the more complex and diverse cultural, historical, linguistic and social psychological boundaries.
